Why do I need one?

Due to the fast changing nature of the internet software can become outdated and so it is good policy to keep up to date with the latest versions. The updates are sometimes necessary because companies like Microsoft update the web servers to make them run better, to add extra features, or, very commonly, to plug security gaps. The producer of the software used on the website may then need to update the code to take account of these changes. Changes to web browsers like Internet Explorer and Firefox can also cause issues. Databases can also require maintenance. Free updates are included in the first 3 months of any website we supply.

The email and telephone support is there for when your site is working fine but you need help with a particluar aspect and you are outside of the initial training period.

The website hosting account does provide access to your site files so you can backup however the support contract will have this done for you and a backup sent to a location of your choice (email, ftp or cloud storage if you have it).
